Where do killer whales go to have their teeth straightened…….the orcadontist! This role however is purely small animal, no orcas in London! We are looking for a veterinary surgeon who is all about dentistry and looking for a role that provides just that.

The salary band for this role is £63,000 to £83,000 (FTE) depending on experience.

We would ideally be looking for an applicant who holds a certificate in dentistry or is working toward one.

About the role

You will be providing stand-out dentistry support to our Walthamstow branch twice a week, and our Wanstead hospital in East London, and Mandeville Hospital in Northolt once a week, creating a 4-day week rota.

There are no weekend or on-call requirements for this position.

Our Walthamstow practice has a high dental caseload supporting nearby branches with more complex dental cases and has all the facilities you would need including dental x-ray.

At both Wanstead and Mandeville Hospital there is state of the art diagnostic support, with a CT scanner, a commercial laboratory, a strong medical team, and experienced surgeons routinely conducting advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgery all available on site.

You will be fully supported by a team of experienced nurses and support colleagues in Walthamstow and both hospitals, as well as regional management for any additional support you may need.

DENTISTRY, ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY RESIDENCY

The successful candidate will work as part of our resident team and receive direct training and supervision from our EVDC and RCVS Recognised Specialist in Dentistry. The successful applicant will join a team of Specialist Veterinary Clinicians, Residents and Interns who provide our services in internal medicine, oncology, cardiology, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, diagnostic imaging, neurology, anaesthesia, dermatology, emergency and critical care, oncology, physiotherapy and clinical pathology.

The Residency programme will be for a period of 3 years depending on progress (reviewed after 6 months and then annually) and is formally approved by the European Veterinary Dental Collage (EVDC); the intention being that the Resident will sit the EVDC Diploma examinations at the end of their training period.

Applicants must be either a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, or hold a veterinary degree qualifying them for membership. The successful applicant will have at least 2 years’ relevant post graduate veterinary clinical experience, and hold a UK valid current driving licence.

The Department of Clinical Sciences in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University invites applications for a tenure-track Dentistry and Oral Surgery faculty position in the Section of Dentistry and Oral Surgery (DOS). This position expands DOS to three specialists to support robust pre-clinical and clinical research programs, provide excellent dentistry and oral surgery services in the Hospital, and maintain a strong teaching and outreach program. The successful candidate will join a current faculty of two Diplomates of the AVDC who are also founding fellows in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (FF-AVDC-OMFS). They are supported by two experienced licensed technicians and three full-time DOS residents in a comprehensive state-of-the-art teaching and referral hospital. The DOS Section is equipped with extensive therapeutic and diagnostic capabilities, including:
